XPeng Motors' Charging Network Expansion and Technological Advances in 2024

TapTechNews August 9th news, XPeng Motors announced the latest progress of its charging network construction: In July 2024, XPeng's charging network added 72 XPeng self-operated charging stations and 91 third-party free stations, totaling 163 charging stations applicable to the free rights and interests of car owners, covering 55 cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Wuhan.

Referring to the previous report of TapTechNews, in July 2024, XPeng Motors delivered a total of 11,145 new cars, an increase of 1% year-on-year and 4% month-on-month. From January to July 2024, XPeng Motors has cumulatively delivered a total of 63,173 new cars, an increase of 20% year-on-year.

From 2023 to 2024, XPeng charging completed the coverage of the S4 super-fast charging network in hundreds of cities, covering all first-tier and new first-tier cities.

In terms of high-speed travel, in 2024, XPeng charging will continue to continuously lay self-operated stations near the service areas of important high-speed routes and the entrances and exits along the high-speed lines to better solve the energy supplement needs of users for long-distance travel.

The single-pole maximum power of XPeng's S4 self-developed super-charging pile is 480 kW, the single-pole maximum current is 670 A, and the peak charging power is 400 kW. It is claimed that it can charge 200 km (CLTC) in 5 minutes, and the charging from 10% to 80% enters the 15-minute era. XPeng Motors also revealed earlier that the latest generation of S5 liquid-cooled super-fast charging pile will also officially meet everyone this year.
