L-rumors reported on May 14th that Panasonic will release a new interchangeable lens Lumix full-frame mirrorless camera model, called S9, on May 23rd (May 22nd in some regions), featuring a unique LUT function. The product is designed for content creators and is priced very affordably, about $200-300 cheaper than the S5M2 (approximately 1444-2166 RMB). It aims to attract a younger and budget-constrained user base. Some known information about the S9 includes: dedicated LUT button for switching different LUT effects, support for custom LUTs, L-mount (not fixed lens as rumored), 24MP sensor similar to S5II, no electronic viewfinder (EVF), flip screen, specialized features for video creators not found in other cameras, 4 body color options, very compact size smaller than the Fuji X100VI, and video-oriented rather than focusing on photography.
