TapTechNews June 28th news, according to the latest list publicly disclosed by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a screen stretching patent, which can be used in various devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and VisionPro in the future.
Apple outlined a special OLED screen technology in the patent. The stretchable part of the screen uses sealed rigid pixel islands (rigid pixel islands), and then flexible screens are interconnected between each pixel island. TapTechNews attaches the patent drawing as follows:
The sealed rigid pixel islands can include organic light-emitting diode (OLED) pixels. This conductive cutting structure can connect the cathode of the OLED pixel and provide the cathode voltage to the cathode, and form the first and second inorganic passivation layers on the OLED pixel, and insert multiple discrete portions (discrete portions) of the organic inkjet printing layer between the first and second inorganic passivation layers.
