The Basu Wind Power Project is located in the territory of Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet. The total installed capacity is 100 megawatts, and 20 5-megawatt wind turbines are installed. The average altitude of the wind farm is 5050 meters, and the highest altitude is 5200 meters. The altitude of the nacelle installation position is more than 5300 meters at the highest, which is the highest altitude wind power project under construction in the world and is equipped with the largest wind turbine unit with the highest single-unit capacity in the global ultra-high altitude area.

The completion of the Basu Wind Power Project is expected to add more than 223 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, which is equivalent to saving about 73,100 tons of standard coal per year and reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by about 621.39 tons and carbon dioxide by about 182,800 tons.
