TapTechNews September 26th news, Meta company announced the long-rumored Quest3S headset at the Connect2024 event. This VR headset is positioned in the entry-level market and is mainly used to replace the Quest2 headset. It will be listed overseas on October 15th. 128GB version: $299.99 (about 2106 yuan currently)

256GB version: $399.99 (about 2808 yuan currently)

The appearance of this headset has the same color-through camera as the Quest3 (supporting color-through mode), the same TouchPlus processor, and also supports gesture tracking.

Compared to the 2064x2208 single-eye resolution of the standard Quest3 headset, this Quest3S headset adopts the same 1832x1920 single-eye resolution as the Quest2 (PPI 773), a 120Hz panel (covering 100% sRGB color gamut), equipped with Fresnel lenses, and the viewing angle (FOV) is 96°x90°.

The performance aspect, this machine adopts the Snapdragon XR2 Gen2 processor, has 8GB of RAM built-in, and a 4324 milliamp-hour battery (up to 2.5 hours of battery life).
