Do I need to add my Steam friends to the EA friends list to invite them to play?

Now you can play with friends who own It Takes Two on Steam without having to add to the EA friends list. You can now directly send game invitations to anyone on your Steam friends list!

When I play the game with the Friend Pass, the EA App still starts

The old EA App Friend Pass game has been replaced by the new version. If you want to play the Friend Pass game without the EA App, install the new Friend Pass. If you don't want to reinstall the game, the old Friend Pass can still run through the EA App, but since it runs through the EA App, you need to use the EA friends list in the game to send EA invitations. Sending or accepting invitations through the Steam friends list requires the use of the new Friend Pass.

Can I still play with friends who own this game through the EA App?

Yes! When inviting friends to play, please select the EA Friends List option in the game. Then you can add their EA account to your EA friends list and send them a game invitation through EA. Invitations sent through EA are only visible when It Takes Two is running.

What about the EA App cloud save now?

It Takes Two can now use Steam cloud saves to save the game progress. When you start the game, the game save on your computer will be automatically uploaded to the Steam cloud save. Due to technical limitations, the saves previously stored in the EA App cloud save are now inaccessible. For players who have lost progress as a result, please download the completed game save and copy it to your save folder:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\ItTakesTwo

After starting It Takes Two with this completed save, you can use the chapter selection menu to continue the game from any node of the game. We apologize deeply for the inconvenience this may cause.

Do I still need an EA account?

As before, in order to play online games and connect to the EA server, you need to bind your EA account to your Steam account. If not bound yet, selecting Online Game in the main menu will prompt you to bind the EA account. No EA account is needed for local games or when playing with Steam Remote Play Together.
