Ubtech Partners with Geely and Tianqi Shares for Humanoid Robot Advancements in Auto Industry
TapTechNews August 5th news, Ubtech Technology announced today that it has reached a strategic cooperation with Geely and Tianqi Shares. The three parties will combine their respective resource advantages to jointly promote the application of humanoid robots in the field of automotive and parts intelligent manufacturing, and jointly create an innovative demonstration application.
Ubtech disclosed that in early July, the first humanoid robot employee in the 5G intelligent factory of Geely Holding Group's Zeekr迎来了第一位人形机器人“员工”, and Minister Li of the Production Management and Logistics Department put on a work badge for Ubtech's industrial version humanoid robot WalkerSLite. WalkerSLite is a new lightweight and rapidly deployable product launched by Ubtech for fields such as intelligent manufacturing and intelligent logistics.
Up to now, WalkerSLite has been in the practical training in the Zeekr 5G intelligent factory for 21 consecutive days, and cooperated with employees to perform handling tasks at the CTU storage and feeding station. It is not only the first humanoid robot in China to fully execute and publicly display the material box handling task, but also its job completion degree and execution difficulty are among the top in the industry.
During the three-week practical training, WalkerSLite combines semantic VSLAM navigation (visual navigation), end-to-end imitation learning, visual accurate identification, full-body fine motion control and other technologies to navigate and walk with a load independently on different pallets and assembly lines, and cooperate with AGV (TapTechNews note: Automated Guided Vehicle) to complete tasks.
In early 2024, Ubtech's industrial version humanoid robot WalkerS entered the general assembly workshop of NIO's second advanced manufacturing base for on-site training. Subsequently, enterprises such as Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao Company, Geely Automobile and others also reached cooperation with Ubtech to jointly create humanoid robot demonstration production lines and factories.
