Microsoft's New Sticky Notes Application Slow, Integrated, and Unfinished

Now, all OneNote users on Windows can finally use the new version of the Sticky Notes application, but users are not satisfied with it.

Firstly, this application is still marked as a preview version, which makes people wonder why Microsoft pushed an unfinished software to the stable channel (after all, there is also the Microsoft 365 Insider Program). Secondly, the new Sticky Notes application has been integrated into OneNote, which means that whether users need or have already installed the old version of the Sticky Notes application, they will get the new Sticky Notes application. This also means that the only way to uninstall the new Sticky Notes application is to uninstall OneNote or the entire Office suite, which is obviously not an ideal solution.

Fortunately, users can still use the old version of the Sticky Notes application through the Microsoft Store. It has better performance, is faster, and can still synchronize the sticky notes to OneNote across devices. In addition, TapTechNews noticed that users can even restore an earlier older version of the Sticky Notes application, which does not have functions such as Microsoft account synchronization and text formatting, but is just a simple desktop widget.
