TapTechNews September 24th news, the tech media 9to5Mac published a blog post today (September 24th), reporting that in the macOS 15.1 Sequoia Beta 5 update launched by Apple for Mac users, a low power mode toggle option has been added to the battery menu, and users can enable/disable this mode with just two clicks.

After users upgrade to the macOS 15.1 Sequoia Beta 5 update, they can see the low power mode toggle option in the battery menu in the upper right corner, which means users can now enable (or disable) this option with just two clicks.

The macOS 15.1 Sequoia Beta 5 update also introduces iOS-like features. After users turn on the low power mode, the battery icon will turn yellow. TapTechNews attaches relevant pictures as follows:

After turning on the low power mode, the system will automatically optimize the device settings to save energy. On the Mac, the performance will be slightly reduced, and some background tasks may be paused. On the MacBook with ProMotion, this toggle can also reduce the screen brightness and reduce the display refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Although the Apple Silicon Mac has an efficient chip and good battery life, when the battery power is insufficient and the charger is not around, the low power mode can further save power.
