TapTechNews August 14th news, Google held the MadeByGoogle event at 1 a.m. today. In addition to releasing the Pixel 9 series of phones, it also introduced the brand-new CallNotes function, which can excerpt and summarize call contents.
The CallNotes function belongs to the CallAssist toolkit and can invoke AI to excerpt the user's call content. If the user wants to sort out the call content or record a certain phone number without pen and paper, this function can handle important information very conveniently.
User operation is also very simple. Open the Google Phone application, click on the contact, and you can see the summary of the most recent call, and the relevant content can be directly copied. If the information you need is not in the summary, you can expand the view to show the complete call record.
Google emphasizes that the CallNotes function is all stored and processed locally, and the relevant data will not be sent to the cloud.
TapTechNews learned from the report that this function will not start automatically by default. After the user manually enables it, a pop-up window will notify both parties that this function will be enabled.
The CallNotes function is currently applicable to four models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
