According to the China mobile phone market tracking report for the first quarter of 2024 released by IDC, Honor took the first place with a market share of 17.1%, and Huawei ranked second with 17.0%, while OPPO, Apple and VIVO ranked from the third to the fifth place respectively.

IDC report shows that Huawei's market share in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 110.0% year-on-year. There is heated discussion in the market that Honor will be most affected after Huawei's full return, but from the data, Honor still maintains stable growth, increasing by 13.2% year-on-year. This is also the only two mobile phone manufacturers among the top five manufacturers whose market share has increased year-on-year.

In fact, Honor CEO Zhao Ming has clearly stated before that Huawei is the most respected and expected competitor of Honor, hoping to compete with Huawei in terms of strength. Regarding the rumors about Honor returning to Huawei outside, Honor CEO Zhao Ming said that this is absolutely impossible. For Honor's past identity, the best tribute is to compete with Huawei with the strongest product and turn itself into its strongest competitor, for details, see TapTechNews' previous report.
