Huawei's Yu Chengdong Talks about AITO M7 Accident and Intelligent Driving Solutions

At today's AITO New M7 Renewal Launch Event, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of the Terminal BG, and Chairman of the Intelligent Automobile Solution BU, gave a speech. At the launch event, he once again mentioned the previous AITO M7 Plus car accident in Yuncheng, Shanxi.

At that time, AITO responded to the car accident, stating that the model involved in the accident was the entry-level non-intelligent driving version and did not carry the Huawei high-level intelligent driving assistance system, but rather the Bosch solution, and also said: 'The working range of the Bosch AEB is 4-85 kilometers per hour, and the speed of 115 kilometers per hour at the time of the collision has far exceeded the trigger range of the Bosch AEB.'

However, Bosch then released a notice stating that the AITO accident in Yuncheng, Shanxi did not carry the Bosch AEB system.

Yu Chengdong said at this launch event that the intelligent driving solution adopted by the AITO M7 Plus is from Bosch and Freetech, which is also the mainstream solution in the industry, but the maximum working range is only 85 kilometers per hour.

For the newly released AITO New M7 Ultra, he said that the forward AEB effective range has been increased to 4-150 miles per hour. He also emphasized that the AEB cannot 100% guarantee the avoidance of accidents and needs a certain distance to brake and tries to avoid traffic accidents, but even gods can't do it in extreme scenarios. 'Don't buy the version that is not Huawei's intelligent driving, drive regardless of the scenario, and then smear us crazily,' he said.
