TapTechNews reported on May 15th that at the I/O 2024 developer conference today, Google announced that Google Workspace will further integrate Gemini, launching many skills based on Gemini 1.5 Pro in the side panel.
Google stated that the integration of Workspace with Gemini is to save users time and effort in digging through files, emails, and other data from multiple applications.
Aparna Pappu, Vice President of Google Workspace, said at the conference, The Gemini era of Workspace will open up a new way to get work done.
TapTechNews notes: Gmail, Docs, Sheet, Slides, and Drive of Google Workspace will be the first to introduce the Gemini side panel, allowing users to organize and understand data within the applications without leaving them, such as summarizing email content and summarizing meeting records.
