TapTechNews noticed that Chunghwa Telecom claims that the 3G network has a history of more than 20 years in the Taiwan region. After shutting down the relevant 3G base stations, in the future they will focus on building 5G base stations, and the existing 4G/5G voice calls will be converted to use VoLTE (VoiceoverLTE) technology.

While Far EasTone Telecom/Taiwan Mobile claims that nowadays the global 5G network has gradually become popular, and the 3G network can be said to have retired after success, and after shutting down the 3G base stations in the future, the 2100 MHz band used by the 3G network will be used in 4G/5G communication to improve relevant services.
