TapTechNews learned from the content of the document that Laos implements a 15-day visa-free policy for Chinese mainland (mainland) and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan tourists holding ordinary passports through the organization of the Laotian tourism company. The document requires that the itinerary must be organized by the Laotian tourism company and obtain the permission of the Laotian Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the Immigration Department, and the validity period of this policy is until December 31, 2024.

In addition to Laos, on June 20, China and Malaysia issued the 'Joint Statement of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Malaysia on Deepening and Enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Jointly Building the China-Malaysia Community with a Shared Future'. It is mentioned in the statement that the Chinese side agrees to extend the visa-free policy for Malaysian citizens to the end of 2025. As a reciprocal arrangement, the Malaysian side will extend the visa-free policy for Chinese citizens to the end of 2026.

And on the evening of May 4, at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Cuba Tourism Festival, Cuban Tourism Minister Juan Carlos García announced that Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports can enter Cuba without a visa.
