BMW M5 Touring to Debut at Pebble Beach, M5 Sedan Also to Make Appearance in North America

At the same time, the newly designed M5 sedan will also make its first appearance in the North American market at this event.
This will be the first time the M5 Touring model is introduced to the US market. The new car will adopt the same plug-in hybrid system as the sedan version, equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an integrated electric motor. This power system can output up to 727 horsepower and a peak torque of 1000 Nm.
The M5 sedan version is equipped with a four-wheel drive system, and it only takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 96 kilometers per hour (with the M Driver's Package option selected). The top speed can reach 306 kilometers per hour. In addition, the car also has a 14.8 kWh battery pack, and the pure electric cruising range is about 40 kilometers.
In addition to the powerful power system, the new car will also be equipped with adaptive M suspension, high-performance brakes, M-exclusive reinforced structures, and 20 and 21-inch wheels of different sizes at the front and rear. The Touring model is expected to be equipped with an all-wheel steering system, and the maximum steering angle of the rear wheels can reach 1.5 degrees.
In terms of appearance, the new car will have both sportiness and practicality. In terms of interior, the new car will be equipped with an M sports steering wheel, M multifunctional seats, and M three-color welcome animation.
