Currently, there are more than 10,000 active Boeing airplanes flying around the world, and almost every one of them is installed with components produced in China. Nelson pointed out: The business volume of Boeing in China is quite large, and we will always stay here, and we look forward to building the next 50 years of deep cooperation with China.
Since Boeing signed an order for 10 Boeing 707 airplanes with China Civil Aviation in 1972, the two sides have carried out cooperation for 52 years. Nelson disclosed: Up to now, Boeing has delivered more than 2000 airplanes to China Civil Aviation, and more than 1800 of the active fleets of China Civil Aviation are Boeing airplanes.
At present, Boeing has 35 first-tier suppliers in China, and Boeing and its affiliated joint ventures and subsidiaries have more than 2000 employees, and make a direct economic contribution of 1.5 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 10.872 billion yuan) to China every year.
In view of the importance of the Chinese market to Boeing, we have been in close communication with the relevant departments of the Chinese government to discuss the opportunities and fields of future cooperation, Nelson emphasized.
When talking about the 777-9 that recently obtained the model inspection authorization and started the certification test flight, Nelson said: This airplane can have both fuel efficiency, super-large capacity and ultra-long range, and it can be called a new-generation flagship model of Boeing, I believe it will definitely become a favored model of Chinese airlines.
Since the beginning of this year, Boeing airplanes have had continuous accidents, causing it to fall into a serious crisis.
