TapTechNews August 27th news, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the Apple sixth-generation iPad mini has begun to be out of stock in many retail stores, which may mean that a new generation of iPad mini is about to be released.

TapTechNews noticed that Gurman stated on X that Apple internally believes that the supply of iPad mini is limited, which may be a signal of the upcoming release of a new product. The sixth-generation iPad mini was launched in September 2021 and it has been nearly three years since then.

Apple has been developing the seventh-generation iPad mini, and there are rumors that it may be released this year. The seventh-generation iPad mini is expected to be equipped with an A17Pro or better chip to support Apple Intelligence and be furnished with upgraded front and rear cameras. Apple may also add other updates such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Apple today announced plans to hold a fall event on September 10th to launch the iPhone 16 series, new Apple Watch and new AirPods. It is currently not clear whether Apple will update the iPad mini at the same time.
