Apple's iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16ProMax to Support Wi-Fi 7

TapTechNews July 31st news, the source DigiTimes posted a blog yesterday (July 30th), indicating that Apple's two flagships, iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16ProMax, will support Wi-Fi 7 network, while the other two support Wi-Fi 6E network.

TapTechNews note: Wi-Fi 7 is the next-generation Wi-Fi standard, introducing technologies such as 320MHz bandwidth, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, multi-link operation, enhanced MU-MIMO, and multi-AP collaboration on the basis of Wi-Fi 6.

Wi-Fi 7 provides higher data transfer rates and lower latency. The peak theoretical data transfer speed will exceed 40 Gbps, which is 4 times higher than that of Wi-Fi 6E.

In addition, Wi-Fi 7, like Wi-Fi 6E, has a total of three communication bands, including a 2.4GHz low-frequency band and two high-frequency bands of 5GHz and 6GHz.

If Apple really upgrades to support Wi-Fi 7 on iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16ProMax, users will also need to upgrade the router additionally to enjoy the ultimate transfer speed.
