For luxury brands like Ferrari, the replacement cost of battery packs will naturally increase even more. The two extended warranty plans launched by Ferrari this time are named Power System Extended Hybrid and Power Hybrid, which are aimed at plug-in hybrid models such as SF90 Stradale, SF90 Spider, SF90 XX Stradale, SF90 XX Spider, 296 GTB and 296 GTS, which can effectively relieve the owners' anxiety about the battery pack replacement cost.

Ferrari has not announced the specific price but disclosed that owners who choose the Power System Extended Hybrid extended warranty plan and extend it to the eighth year can enjoy free replacement of high-voltage battery packs. The Power Hybrid plan is for long-term owners and extends the original warranty period from the eighth year to the sixteenth year, covering all major power system components (including hybrid system components), and also including free replacement of the high-voltage battery pack in the sixteenth year.

In addition, owners may replace with a more advanced battery pack, and Ferrari said: If there is a significant development in battery technology, we will equip the vehicle with the latest high-voltage battery pack when replaced. This means that the replaced battery may bring better performance.

Considering the long-term nature of the plan, Ferrari emphasizes that the extended warranty plan can be transferred to subsequent owners. Any Ferrari authorized dealer can activate the extended warranty plan, and even vehicles that have exceeded the original warranty period are eligible to participate, but require the vehicle inspection by the technical staff of Ferrari authorized dealers.

So far, Ferrari has not announced the exact price, but according to previous reports, the annual fee of the extended warranty plan may be about $7500 (TapTechNews note: approximately 54670 Chinese yuan).
