Baidu and Weichai to Collaborate on AI in Manufacturing and Driving

TapTechNews June 27th news, on June 26th, Robin Li, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Baidu, held a meeting with Tan Xuguang, the Party secretary, chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and chairman of Weichai Group at Baidu.

Tan Xuguang said that Shandong Heavy Industry has established an artificial intelligence research institute and hopes to join hands with Baidu to start an AI revolution in the high-end equipment industry, and accelerate the in-depth application in the full scene of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent driving, and take the lead in the global industrial intelligent upgrading.

Robin Li said that the technological wave of artificial intelligence has a significant impact on the improvement of production efficiency in all walks of life. Making AI technology more closely integrated with the real economy is the direction that Baidu has been working hard for. Baidu looks forward to more in-depth cooperation with Weichai Group and to serving the high-speed and high-quality development of the national manufacturing industry with its fully self-developed artificial intelligence technology.

In this meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on further cooperation, and will jointly explore the application of large models in the fields of commercial vehicle intelligent manufacturing and intelligent driving.
