Microsoft to Remove GPTBuilder from CopilotPro

Tap TechNews June 11th news, Microsoft today announced in a notice that the CopilotPro service will remove GPTBuilder, meaning that subscribers will no longer be able to create their own Copilot GPT.

GPTBuilder is also known as Copilot GPT. Users subscribing to CopilotPro can create their own Copilot GPT using documents, external or internal resources, and custom instructions.

CopilotPro is the $20 Microsoft Copilot subscription version with some additional features such as the GPT generator and deep integration of Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Unlike the default Copilot experience, Copilot GPT Builder is more personalized and advanced. Tap TechNews quoted the technology media WindowsLatest report, Microsoft confirmed that it will remove Copilot GPT on July 10th.

In the email sent to CopilotPro subscribers, Microsoft noted that it is still committed to providing Copilot services to consumers. Microsoft wrote in the email to CopilotPro subscribers:

We write to inform you that an important change is coming to your CopilotPro subscription.

We are committed to improving your CopilotPro subscription and regularly review how subscribers use the features in Microsoft products.
