Konami's Silent Hill 2 Remake Release and Unannounced Game

TapTechNews August 4th news, Konami's Silent Hill 2: Remake is about to be released on October 8th Beijing time. However, the source AestheticGamer revealed that Konami still has an unannounced Silent Hill game under development.

Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, Konami announced in 2022 the remake of the main game Silent Hill 2: Remake, the spin-off game Silent Hill: The Text Message, the concept trailer Silent Hill: f, and the interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension. And currently, this unannounced game is likely to be the latest main game of the series IP after Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012.

For comparison, the current latest main game of the Silent Hill IP, Silent Hill: Downpour, was released in March 2012. This game only landed on the PS3/Xbox360 platforms and did not have a PC version. Players play as the prisoner Murphy Pendleton in the game to seek the path of redemption. But the game was criticized by the outside world due to its weak plot and numerous bugs, and IGN only gave this game a 4.5-point rating.
