Samsung Addresses 'Lock Screen Unresponsive' Issue, Rolls Out OneUI 6.1 to Galaxy S21/S22 Series

TapTechNews, May 11 - Samsung has commenced the global rollout of the OneUI 6.1 update for users of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series, aimed at fixing the 'Lock screen unresponsive' issue identified in the previous versions, though it does not include the May security update.

Firmware versions for the Galaxy S22 series in the European market are identified as S90*BXXU9EXE1, and for the Galaxy S21 series as G99*BXXUAGXDA, both updates being approximately 2.4GB in size. TapTechNews checked the Galaxy community forum and noted that the Chinese market ('guochan,' meaning locally produced in China) has not followed suit yet.

The OneUI 6.1 version brings Galaxy AI features to models like Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Among these, the Galaxy S22 series has received most of the Galaxy AI features introduced in the Galaxy S24, whereas it appears that the Galaxy S21 series has received only limited features such as the Circle to Search (圈即搜) functionality.
