Xiaomi Takes Legal Action Against Qingdao Company for Possible Trademark Infringement

According to the legal lawsuit information, a new court session announcement was recently added to the related unfair competition dispute case between Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Xiaomi Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd. The plaintiff is Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd., and this case will be heard in the People's Court of Huangdao District, Qingdao City on June 14.

TapTechNews noted that the information shows that Qingdao Xiaomi Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd. was established in July 2016 with a registered capital of 1 million Chinese yuan and is jointly held by two natural persons, and it has no equity association with any of Xiaomi-related companies. Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. believes that this automobile service company uses highly similar business logos and fonts to Xiaomi Group in its official website, promotional materials, and offline physical stores and other channels, which may cause confusion to consumers.

Xiaomi, as a well-known manufacturer of electronic products and smart hardware, its brand value and market influence cannot be underestimated.
