Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, the shipment volume of this work was 185 million in August 2023. For a game that has been released for over a decade, such sales speed is astonishing, and we still do not know who is still buying GTA 5.

On the Wikipedia game sales chart, only Minecraft surpasses GTA 5 currently. As of October 2023, the total sales of Minecraft on various platforms exceeded 300 million.

In comparison, another major work under Take-Two, Red Dead Redemption 2, has accumulated sales of 64 million since its release six years ago (2018).
