This problem has been ongoing for several months, with many Microsoft 365 users reporting on the Microsoft community website. Users are unable to reply to encrypted emails when using the classic version of the Outlook client.

Affected users have found that reinstalling Outlook or creating a new account does not resolve the issue. When trying to reply to messages using Microsoft encryption technology, customers receive an error message stating 'Microsoft Outlook couldn't create the restricted permission message'.

According to a support document released by Microsoft this Thursday, the issue only affects Microsoft 365 customers using the Current Channel Version 2402 (Build 17328.20142) released on February 28th and higher versions.
