Astell&Kern Launches Platinum Limited Edition of SP3000 Flagship Player

Based on the original SP3000 player, this machine improves the appearance and mainly replaces it with a platinum coating, selling for $4499.99.

According to the introduction, this machine uses a 904L stainless steel shell covered with a platinum coating, claiming to use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology to vaporize platinum metal at high temperature and cover it on the shell, which has a certain symbolic meaning.

In terms of configuration, SP3000 adopts 2 pieces of AK4191EQ and 4 pieces of AK4499EX of AKM modular DAC, and applies the HEXA audio circuit structure to reduce the digital signal noise input through AK4191EQ (a single digital Δ-Σ modulator), while the AK4499EX DAC handles analog signals separately. The official said that by applying this unique design, SP3000 achieved physically separated digital and analog signal processing for the first time and maximized the SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio), creating the purest level of natural sound.
