TapTechNews, June 21 - Microsoft today invited some members of the Windows Insider program in the Canary and Dev channels to test the new version of the Windows 11 Microsoft Photos application. The new version focuses mainly on improving the viewer and import functions.
The new version of the Windows 11 Photos application has now been updated to 2024.11060.20004.0, and TapTechNews attaches the main improvements as follows:
The important operations such as 'Start Slide Show' and 'Share' are no longer hidden in the menu, but are directly displayed on the main viewing screen.
Microsoft has clustered all the shortcuts of Microsoft applications together so that users can quickly and easily navigate from the viewer to the full photo gallery, open in Clipchamp or open in OneDrive.
Microsoft is no longer limited to preset picture sizes, but has introduced a slider that allows users to view pictures between 10% and 800% of the original size.
Users can use the draggable slider to easily achieve the desired image size for precise adjustments and a better photo viewing experience.
The size and dimensions of the photos are now prominently displayed on the bottom edge of the screen, meeting the requirements of many users.
Microsoft has launched a new feature that allows users to choose and manage the start of transferring photos and videos from local devices at the right time.
This version also comes with a new multi-process performance improvement feature that can increase the loading speed of the viewer by 2.1 times.
