Reports claim that Intel plans to hold a press conference in September to officially announce that the ArrowLake desktop CPU will be available for retail sale in October.

Intel's CEO Pat Gelsinger confirmed today that the ArrowLake CPU will debut on the desktop platform first and then on notebook computer chips.

TapTechNews note: The key selling point of the ArrowLake desktop CPU is the brand-new LionCove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores. The IPC of both has increased by 14% and 38% respectively compared to previous generations, and the improvement is even greater compared to the cores of the RaptorLake CPU.

Another improvement is reflected in the power consumption. The TDP of these chips will be 80% of RaptorLake's, which means they won't be as aggressive as the 14th-generation products.
