Microchip's IT System Under Attack, Affecting Order Fulfillment

Microchip stated in the file that it detected potential suspicious activities involving its IT system on the 17th of this month and confirmed on the 19th that unauthorized individuals disrupted Microchip's use of certain servers and some business operations.

Microchip said it quickly took additional measures to deal with this event: isolating the affected systems, shutting down some systems, and launching an investigation into this attack event with the assistance of external network security advisors.

Due to the combined impact of the IT system attack and the subsequent response measures, the operating level of some of Microchip's manufacturing facilities is lower than usual, and the ability to fulfill orders has decreased.
