Apple iOS 17.5 Update Causes Third-Party App Store Bug

TapTechNews May 15 report - According to official support documents, Apple recently released the iOS/iPadOS 17.5 update, which includes 15 security patches for iPhone and iPad. However, one of the patches caused a bug in third-party app stores.

Developer Mysk stated that Apple released security patches related to the MarketplaceKit framework in the iOS/iPadOS 17.5 update.

TechTechNews has provided screenshots showing that iPhone users in the EU may encounter issues reinstalling AltStore and other third-party app stores after accidentally deleting them due to the patch. Apple may address this issue in a future update, such as iOS 17.5.1.

In related news, a security researcher complained that an iOS kernel vulnerability they discovered did not meet the payment conditions of Apple's security bounty program. The vulnerability is listed under AppleAVD in the iOS 17.5 security fixes.
