Micron Develops First PCIe 6.0 Data Center SSD, To Be Showcased at FMS 2024 Summit

TapTechNews August 6th news, Micron announced on the 5th of this month local time in Santa Clara, California, USA that it has successfully developed the industry's first PCIe 6.0 data center solid-state drive for ecological support. The sequential read rate of this solid-state drive can reach 26 GB/s.

Micron's 9550 series PCIe 5.0 data center solid-state drive released on July 23 has a sequential read rate of 14 GB/s. In other words, Micron's new generation of products has increased by 85.7% in the sequential read item.

As one of the symbols to start the PCIe 6.0 ecosystem, Micron will showcase its new PCIe 6.0 data center solid-state drive product at the FMS 2024 Summit held from August 6th to 8th local time in Santa Clara.

In addition, Raj Narasimhan, senior vice president of Micron, will deliver a speech titled Data is the Core of Artificial Intelligence: Micron Memory and Storage Boost the Artificial Intelligence Revolution at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time on August 7 (TapTechNews note: 2:00 a.m. Beijing Time on August 8).
