Samsung Developing Derivative of Galaxy ZFold 6 Galaxy ZFold6Ultra

TapTechNews May 31, according to sources, Samsung is internally developing a derivative version of the Galaxy ZFold 6 phone, with the code name Q6Slim, and it is expected to choose one of Slim, Pro and Ultra as the product suffix after its listing.

According to the exposed information by Ross Young, the screen supply chain consulting firm, Samsung will release this phone in the fourth quarter of 2024. The screen is larger than that of the Galaxy ZFold 6, but it does not support stylus input. Hereinafter, for distinction, it will be called Galaxy ZFold6Ultra.

Before the official release by Samsung, the battery of the Galaxy ZFold6Ultra has passed the certification of the Indian regulatory body BIS, with the models being EB-BF959ABE and EB-BF959ABY.

In this model, BF represents the battery used in the Fold or Flip series, and the battery model of the Samsung Fold starts with the string BF9, while the battery model of the Flip starts with the string BF7.

TapTechNews queried the previously exposed information, and the battery model of the Samsung GalaxyFold6 is EB-BF956ABY and EB-BF957ABY.

The BF959 number exposed this time is higher than that of the GalaxyFold6's BF956/957, which should be prepared for the Galaxy ZFold6Ultra phone. Previously, relevant information said that the model of this machine is SM-F958, which basically matches the battery model.
