Loongson中科 and Shanxi Keda Launch Intelligent Ultrasonic Water Meter Solution
TapTechNews July 10th news, Loongson中科 jointly with Shanxi Keda Automation Co., Ltd. launched a domestically developed intelligent ultrasonic water meter solution based on the ultrasonic flow measurement dedicated chip Loongson 1D. Currently, the intelligent water meter based on this solution has achieved mass production and application.
It is introduced that Loongson 1D is the first fully autonomous ultrasonic flow measurement chip of Loongson, which was released in 2014. This chip is the first SoC chip in China that integrates TDC (time difference measurement unit) and MCU (microcontroller) and is dedicated to the measurement of ultrasonic water meters, heat meters, and gas meters.
The ultrasonic water meter is an all-electronic metering water meter that uses the time difference of the ultrasonic signal transmitted downstream and upstream in the water for metering, with characteristics such as low starting flow, wide range ratio, and high accuracy. Compared to the traditional mechanical metering water meter, it has improved in terms of accuracy, service life, and pressure loss performance.
The intelligent ultrasonic water meter supports other common functions including:
It has hourly, daily, monthly and other periodic data and dense data recording functions, and the data is saved for a long time after power failure.
It can remotely control the valve and detect the abnormal state of the valve, and report the data to the cloud platform.
It has status alarms such as battery under-voltage, empty pipe, reverse flow, abnormal temperature, leakage, and pipe burst.
It supports multiple communication interfaces such as infrared, NB-IoT, serial port, Bluetooth, and 4G.
Low power consumption design, one lithium battery can be used for more than 9 years.
It can be connected to the back-end data center through networks such as NB-IoT to realize functions such as remote meter reading, stepped water price, data analysis, battery voltage, and prepaid.
Currently, the ultrasonic water meter product based on this solution has passed the detection and certification of the metrology department and obtained relevant qualification certificates.
