2024 International Ecological Conference of Aerospace Information Industry to Be Held in Chongqing

This conference is jointly sponsored by China Satellite Network Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Management Committee, and is undertaken by the International Ecological Alliance of Aerospace Information Industry (preparation) and Chongqing Digital Creation Park.
During this conference, many academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as the heads of central enterprises such as China Satellite Network Group Co., Ltd. and industry organizations such as the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association will attend the conference and deliver keynote speeches to conduct in-depth analysis and outlook on the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the current industry.
Fu Zhaohua, director of the Planning and Development Department of China Satellite Network Group Co., Ltd. introduced that at the 2024 International Ecological Conference of Aerospace Information Industry, China Satellite Network, in conjunction with the Chongqing Municipal Government, will release an action plan for innovatively promoting the first-mover trial of large-scale application of the Beidou system, and plan to form a number of typical application scenarios in aspects such as the low-altitude economy, the digital economy, and advanced manufacturing industries around the improvement of the modernization of the governance system and governance capacity and the upgrading of the modern industrial energy level. Through the first-mover trial in Chongqing, strengthen standard guidance and market-oriented promotion to form replicable and promotable experiences and typical cases.

These forum activities mainly include 7 aspects such as enabling the modern governance of super-large cities and the industrialization of aerospace information data elements, and the 5G+Beidou fusion application; and will carry out industrial connection activities in Liangjiang New Area to multi-dimensionally display the prosperous ecology of Chongqing's aerospace information industry development.
The official stated that the Beidou industry in China is developing rapidly. In 2023, the overall output value of China's satellite navigation and position service industry reached 536.2 billion yuan ($76.4 billion), an increase of 7.09% year-on-year, and has become an important force in the global satellite navigation system. Currently, the Beidou industry is in a critical period of rapid development and deep integration, and the large-scale application of the Beidou is also in a critical stage of entering the market-oriented, industrialized, and internationalized development.
The official pointed out that this year coincides with the fourth anniversary of the completion of the Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system and the 30th anniversary of the approval of the Beidou satellite navigation system.
