TCL Huaxing Showcases Cutting-Edge Display Technologies at 2024 SID Display Week in California

TapTechNews reported on May 15 that TCL Huaxing delivered a keynote speech at the 2024 SID Display Week event in San Jose, California, showcasing HVA, HFS, MLED, MLCD, printed OLED, and flexible OLED display technologies.

Huaxing showcased the world's first 7.85-inch Tandem triple foldable flexible screen, featuring a stepped appearance design, with a screen thickness of 472μm and a total thickness of 17mm. It can be folded in either a 'G-shaped' or 'Z-shaped' manner, integrating Tandem, LTPO, and PLP multiple low power consumption technologies.

The 14-inch 2.8K printed HybridOLED display screen first released by Huaxing last year was also exhibited, featuring a new Oxide compensation circuit design and printed OLED process, achieving a mass-produced 240PPI technological breakthrough with 2.8K resolution, DCI-P3 > 99% wide color gamut, and a 30-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

TapTechNews notes that TCL Huaxing has not yet announced the launch plan of notebook products using this panel.

Huaxing stated that its current focus on promoting printed OLED technology is mainly in the medium-sized display field, such as commercial, gaming monitors, notebook screens, as well as differentiated products in medical, automotive, industrial control, etc., with potential expansion to tablets, smartphones, and other areas in the future.

The exhibition also featured the 85 UDw-HVAPro with TCL Huaxing w-HVA wide-angle viewing technology, achieving CESI 178° viewing angle, 4K resolution, BT2020 92% high color gamut, 144Hz refresh rate, and a low reflectivity of 1.4%.
