DOTA2 2024 Esports World Cup Chinese Preliminaries Schedule and Details

TapTechNews May 30th news, the official of DOTA2 announced today the Chinese regional preliminaries schedule of the 2024 Esports World Cup (Riyadh Masters). The competition will kick off at 12 noon on June 2nd, and eight teams will compete in a double-elimination format to determine three qualifying spots.

Six invited teams: G2×iG, TeamZero, KEV, LGDGaming, SpikyGaming (originally Eagle), AzureRay + 2 teams advancing from the open qualifiers.

First-round schedule:

At 12:00 on June 2nd, G2×iG vs an open qualifier team.

At 12:00 on June 2nd, Zero vs KEV.

At 16:00 on June 2nd, LGD vs Spiky.

At 16:00 on June 2nd, AR vs an open qualifier team.

TapTechNews attached the quota allocation situation of each region:

Chinese region: 3.

Western Europe, Southeast Asia and South America regions: 2 each.

Eastern Europe, North America and Middle East and North Africa regions: 1 each.

The above 12 pre-qualified teams will enter the qualifier stage, among which 8 teams will advance to the group stage to compete with the directly invited teams. The directly invited teams include Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, Xtreme Gaming, Tundra Esports, Team Liquid, OG, Team Spirit.

According to the previously official announcement, the DOTA2 project of the Esports World Cup will be held from July 4th to 21st, and the total prize pool is as high as 5 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 36.3 million RMB).
