Shanghai Disneyland to Launch New Spider-Man-themed Attraction

TapTechNews August 11th, Shanghai Disney Resort announced today that Shanghai Disneyland will introduce a brand-new Spider-Man-themed attraction and become the first large-scale attraction in the park to tell a Marvel story. This 'completely immersive and thrilling' roller coaster experience will bring a new adventure to park visitors and Marvel fans.

At the 2024 Disney Global Fan Convention D23Expo, Josh D'Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences at The Walt Disney Company, unveiled the theme of this highly anticipated new attraction in his 'Looking Ahead: Horizons D23 Disney Experiences Showcase' presentation and showed for the first time two renderings of the attraction.

TapTechNews learned that as the latest expansion project of Shanghai Disney Resort, this new attraction will be adjacent to the newly opened 'Zootopia' theme park in the park, and the preparatory work for its early construction started at the beginning of this year.

In addition, the current expansion project of the resort also includes the third Disney-themed hotel adjacent to Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. As the development work of these two major expansion projects continues to advance, Shanghai Disney will release more project progress in the future.
