Microsoft Updates Windows 11 Settings App with New Pages and Renamed Options

TapTechNews September 18th news, Microsoft is continuously updating the Settings application of Windows 11. The latest Windows 11 version in the Insider channel has redesigned the privacy and security page in the Settings application. Now the Recommendation & Offers page replaces the General page, making it easier for users to understand the relevant settings.

Firstly, this Recommendation & Offers page has added a new option named Personalized offers, which can enable or disable tips, advertisements and recommendations based on one's own Windows activities.

In addition, WindowsLatest has also compared the diagnostic data page and found that the Tailored Experiences option has disappeared. When searching for this option in the Start menu, the system will redirect users to the new Personalized offers option. So it is obvious that Microsoft has renamed this option and moved it to a more appropriate area.

TapTechNews noticed that Microsoft has also renamed Allow me to use advertising ID to show personalized ads to Advertising ID. The longer name is now displayed as a label below the option name to provide more context.
