The four intercity lines are built and operated by Guangzhou Metro Group, with Pearl River Delta Intercity Rail Company responsible for construction and Guangdong Intercity Operation Company in charge of operation management. Once the four lines are open, with Fanyu Station as the center, Guangzhao Intercity extends to the west, the Guanghui Intercity to the east, a total of 39 stations along the line including 5 stations in Guangzhou, 9 in Foshan, 6 in Zhaoqing, 12 in Dongguan, and 7 in Huizhou. The maximum operating speed of trains is 200 kilometers per hour. Currently, the Guangfo Nan'en and Fodan Intercity will open for operation soon after completing trial operation and various necessary procedures. Once open, they will be linked to the already operational Fozhao Intercity and Guanhui Intercity, forming a 258-kilometer-long transportation artery that crosses 5 cities from east to west, effectively strengthening the regional transportation links of Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, and Huizhou, and accelerating the formation of a 1-hour commuting circle in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the four lines are connected, the 'stop at every station + express at major stations' public transport operation mode will be fully implemented, adding Fanyu Station and Guangzhou Changlong Station as two express stops, with a total of 14 express stops along the line. The current express stops on the two already operational intercity lines are Zhaoqing, Dinghu East, Dawang, Sanshuibei, Foshan West, Dongguan West, Xipingxi, Songshanhubbei, Changpinnan, Chenjiangnan, Xihu Dong and Xiaojinkou stations.
