CAICT Completes Autonomous Maturity Certification of Huawei's Hongmeng Kernel

The autonomous R & D ratio is 100%. The autonomous maturity level is Grade A. And a certificate was presented to it at the HDC 2024 Huawei Developer Conference.

This certification not only reflects that the autonomous maturity level of Huawei's Hongmeng kernel has reached a high level, but also indicates that our country's autonomous maturity level in the field of operating system kernels has stepped up to a new stage.
On June 28, CAICT announced that it has completed the evaluation work of the privacy protection ability of the HarmonyOS NEXT mobile smart terminal operating system. The Terminal Laboratory of Taier tested 38 indicators such as the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system framework, the whole life cycle of applications, and the terminal control ability. After evaluation, the privacy protection ability of the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system meets the relevant standard requirements.
According to TapTechNews' previous report, at the HUAWEI Developer Conference 2024 on June 21, Gong Ti, president of the Software Department of Huawei Terminal BG, said that the operating system software has been dominated by Europe and the United States all along. Hongmeng has been completely renewed and achieved what Europe and the United States have done in 30 years in 10 years. He mentioned that the Hongmeng kernel outperforms the Linux kernel, is more secure and smoother, and the performance is improved by 10.7% in comparison.
