BYD Qin L Officially Delivered, Powered by Fifth-generation DM Technology
TapTechNews May 30th, it is learned from BYD official that the first batch of BYD Qin L cars was officially delivered, and BYD chairman Wang Chuanfu and general manager Lu Tian of the Dynasty Network appeared at the delivery site to deliver the cars to the owners. BYD Qin L was officially listed on May 28th with a price range of $14,950 - $20,900, equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, with a comprehensive cruising range of up to 1309 miles, and a fuel consumption of 2.9 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions.
In terms of appearance, the Qin L DM-i still adopts the Dragon Face design concept. The shapes of the two headlight groups on both sides adopt a narrow and long design, and the front bumper adopts a large-sized opening design, with arc-shaped ventilation openings on both sides, making the overall shape more sharp. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 158.74 inches * 74.8 inches * 59.13 inches respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 109.84 inches.
In terms of interior design, the Qin L DM-i draws inspiration from Chinese landscape paintings to create a landscape painting cockpit. The new car has four exterior colors of ice amber green, kiln purple, jade white, and tea crystal gray, and the design inspiration comes from the famous porcelains in history, especially the two car colors of ice amber green and kiln purple.
In terms of intelligence, the Qin L DM-i isequipped with the DiLink intelligent cockpit, integrating configurations such as 15.6-inch adaptive rotary suspension Pad, on-board ETC, mobile phone NFC car key, and full-scene intelligent voice; 100% compatible with the mobile phone ecosystem, and the whole series is equipped with mobile phone NFC car keys, compatible with various mainstream mobile phone brands.
In terms of active safety, the Qin L DM-i isequipped with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system throughout the series, including ACC adaptive cruise, ICC intelligent piloting, LDW lane departure warning, and LDP lane departure suppression functions, combined with 4-rear reverse radar and 3D panoramic transparent imaging. In terms of passive safety, in addition to the 6 regular airbags equipped, the Qin L DM-i also adds a front distal side airbag.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, which consists of a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor. The maximum power of the engine is 74 kilowatts, and the maximum torque is 126 Newton-meters, and the electric motor provides two options of 120 kilowatts and 160 kilowatts. In terms of the battery, the new car isequipped with two capacities of lithium iron phosphate batteries of 10.08 kWh and 15.87 kWh. The pure electric cruising range under CLTC conditions is 80 km and 120 km respectively, and the maximum combined cruising range of the new car can reach 1309 miles. The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions is only 2.9 liters.
