A Passenger Hid 103 Mobile Phones in Electric Wheelchair, Seized by Chinese Customs

TapTechNews July 15th news, according to the Customs Release news, a passenger used an electric wheelchair to hide 103 mobile phones when entering the country, and was immediately seized by the Zhai Kou customs under the Gongbei customs.

It is introduced that at about 8:40 am on July 10th, a Hong Kong woman, Zhang, entered the country through the customs no declaration channel in the passenger inspection hall of Gongbei Port by electric wheelchair and was intercepted by the on-site customs officer. The customs officer found 3 old Apple mobile phones in the satchel she carried and observed that the electric wheelchair she was riding had modified traces and there was a great suspicion of smuggling.

The customs officer inspected the battery box of the wheelchair through the machine, and the image showed abnormality. After further disassembling, a large number of old mobile phones wrapped in plastic film were seized from the battery box of the wheelchair. After counting, 86 old Apple mobile phones and 17 old Samsung mobile phones were seized, totaling 103.
