XPeng Huitian's 'Land Aircraft Carrier' Flying Car Update

TapTechNews June 2nd, it was reported on June 1st that XPeng Huitian announced that the Jiangmen Low-altitude Cultural Tourism Town project booked 100 land aircraft carriers flying cars and prepaid the booking deposit.

According to the introduction, the Low-altitude Cultural Tourism Town project includes low-altitude flight experience, flying car display, flying car maintenance, scene simulation interaction, popular science study travel, flight talent training, and supporting leisure and entertainment service facilities.

TapTechNews learned that the XPeng Huitian land aircraft carrier flying car is divided into two parts: the land vehicle body and the flight body that can be automatically separated and combined.

The flight body part is a pure electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, adopting a distributed electric propulsion system, meeting the single-point failure safety requirements, with both manual/automatic driving modes, and has a 270° panoramic double cockpit.

The land vehicle body of the land aircraft carrier is a 4-5 person intelligent driving cockpit, equipped with an extended-range electric drive power system, which can replenish energy for the flight body multiple times. The whole vehicle adopts a three-axis six-wheel design and can realize 6X6 all-wheel drive and rear wheel steering, with good bearing capacity and off-road ability. The land vehicle body can completely accommodate the flight body in the car and travel on the ground.

According to the previously official announcement, XPeng Huitian's split-type flying car land aircraft carrier will start booking in the fourth quarter of this year and be mass-produced next year, which is expected to become the world's first split-type flying car mass-produced and delivered to individual users.
