Lenovo Releases ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 Laptop with Ryzen Processor

TapTechNews May 15th news, Lenovo announced early this morning the launch of the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 notebook computer, which is equipped with the Ryzen PRO 8040HS series processor and adopts the same mold as the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5. The ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 can be equipped with the highest Ryzen 7 PRO 8840HS processor (eight-core Zen 4, with a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz). It has an internal Radeon 780M integrated graphics, provides two DDR5 SO-DIMM memory slots and a single M.2 2280 solid-state drive slot, and can support a maximum of 60 GB (about 96 GB) of memory. The new notebook offers the following screen options: 2.8K 400-nit IPS screen with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut; WUXGA 500-nit IPS touch screen with 100% sRGB color gamut; WUXGA 400-nit IPS screen with 100% sRGB color gamut; WUXGA 400-nit IPS touch screen with 45% NTSC color gamut; WUXGA 400-nit IPS screen with 45% NTSC color gamut. TapTechNews note: WUXGA is a resolution of 1920x1200. In addition, this computer is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with a ThinkShutter physical privacy shield and an optional IR face recognition function; it provides two batteries of 39.3 Wh and 52.5 Wh, with a thickness of 0.7 inches (about 17.71 mm) and a weight starting from 2.89 pounds (about 1.31 kg). It is worth noting that the P14s Gen 5 is equipped with the Qualcomm NFA-725A Wi-Fi 6E network card and supports Bluetooth 5.3, and the Qualcomm X24 4G and X62 5G basebands are optional. The new ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 notebook computer provides two Thunderbolt 4 and an RJ45 network cable interface. The Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 notebook computer will be launched in the US market in May, with a starting price of $1379 (about 9984 yuan).
