After activating the 'Circle to Search' function, users will be able to see a new note icon between the search box and the Google Translate icon. Since the function is still in the early stage of development and currently does not work properly, the specific function details are still not clear. However, it is speculated that this function may allow 'Circle to Search' to listen to the content being played on the device and use it as a part of the search query. This will provide users with an additional way to help them identify the music heard in social media applications or other places.

It is not clear whether users can capture a segment of audio in 'Circle to Search' and attach additional text content for assisted querying. Currently, this function already allows users to circle the content and add a small amount of text to help Google better understand the search intention. Currently, the button of this note icon can only be manually called out, which also confirms from the side that this function is still in the early stage of development.

TapTechNews noticed that in addition to the audio search, Google seems to also plan to add more functions to 'Circle to Search', including sharing and editing functions. The sharing function allows users to share the circled part with others, and the editing function allows users to copy and paste the circled part into the device's photo editor for editing, adding annotations, or sharing through applications such as Messages.
