Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway Enters Commissioning Stage, Set to Open in September

TapTechNews July 16th news, the Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway by TapTechNews) officially entered the stage of joint commissioning and testing today, and it is planned to be put into operation in September this year.

According to public information, the Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway is located in the mountainous area of southern Anhui. The line starts from Xuancheng Station and extends southeastward through Xuanzhou District, Ningguo City, and Jixi County in Xuancheng City, and finally ends at Jixi North Station. The newly built main line is about 111.6 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is 87%.

The Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway has three stations along the whole line, namely Xuancheng, Ningguo South, and Jixi North. Among them, Xuancheng and Jixi North are existing stations, and Ningguo South is a newly built station. This line connects high-speed railway trunk lines such as Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou, Nanchang-Jingdezhen-Huangshan, Hangzhou-Huangshan (the first phase of Nanjing-Xuancheng-Huangshan High-Speed Railway), and Hefei-Fuzhou.

The Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway is an important part of the rapid railway passage in Jiangsu-Anhui-Jiangxi and the intercity railway network in the Yangtze River Delta region, and it is also a backbone line in the intercity rail transit network in the Yangtze River Delta.

After the completion and opening to traffic, taking the high-speed rail from Wuhu Station will no longer detour around Huzhou, Hangzhou and other places. Through Xuancheng and Jixi, it can directly reach Shangrao, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Xiamen and other places. By then, it will be more convenient and fast to take the high-speed rail southward from Wuhu.
