Zhejiang Police Destroyed a Criminal Chain of Plug-in Software for Order Snatching

The Xinchang Public Security in Zhejiang successfully destroyed a criminal industrial chain that developed "plug-in" software and sold it both online and offline with a value of up to 30 million yuan ($4.32 million).
TapTechNews learned that many food delivery riders have used "black technology" in the process of order snatching, which can automatically snatch orders with larger amounts in a shorter time, affecting the normal order snatching of other riders, and there are often conflicts between them.
After investigation, the police found that this so-called "black technology" is a plug-in software "Death God", and after several rounds of optimization and upgrading, it has evolved into multiple softwares such as "Thor" and "Dot", and is sold all over the country.
On the marketing page related to the plug-in, illegal salespeople claim that after the rider spends tens of dollars to buy an activation code, they can use this plug-in software to snatch orders abnormally.
Due to the continuous technological upgrading and strengthening of operation and maintenance work of the corresponding company, this forces the plug-in to be iteratively updated. Only the "Death God" plug-in has been iterated through 12 versions. Many riders reported that the plug-in software they purchased frequently failed and could not successfully snatch orders, and even some riders were defrauded due to purchasing plug-in software.
The public security department has successively organized many cross-provincial arrest operations. Up to now, 112 illegal and criminal suspects have been arrested and 71 people have been criticized and educated.
This case has destroyed the main black and gray industrial chain involving plug-ins of apps such as food delivery, freight, and courier. The police officer handling the case said: "Such plug-in software realizes the functions of automated and customized order snatching by illegally reading the order framework of various apps and setting order snatching conditions."
