Dongfang Electric Starts High-Altitude Blade and Green Hydrogen Bases in Qinghai
TapTechNews July 11th news, on July 9th, the commencement ceremony of Dongfang Electric High-Altitude Blade Equipment Manufacturing and Green Hydrogen Innovation Base was held in Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province.
The world's highest-altitude wind turbine blade manufacturing base - Dongfang Electric High-Altitude Blade Equipment Manufacturing Base is located in the Golmud Industrial Park of the Qaidam Circular Economy Pilot Zone, covering an area of about 170 mu (about 28 acres), with a total construction area of 69,673 square feet, including wind turbine blade manufacturing and high-altitude wind turbine whole machine production.
According to Dongfang Electric, after the base is completed and put into operation, it will apply the world's leading high-altitude vacuum infusion technology to produce large blades of 7-10 megawatt onshore wind turbines, with an annual supporting total wind turbine capacity of more than 1000 megawatts, filling the gap in the production of wind turbine blades in Qinghai Province.
TapTechNews learned from the official announcement of Dongfang Electric that the Dongfang Electric High-Altitude Green Hydrogen Innovation Base, which started construction at the same time, covers an area of 115 mu (about 19 acres). After the completion and commissioning of this base, a domestic largest off-grid PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production demonstration project will be initiated, which can produce 120 tons of pure green hydrogen annually, providing green hydrogen services for the demonstration of hydrogen energy transportation, and will become the first new energy off-grid hydrogen production, hydrogenation, and hydrogen utilization demonstration base in Qinghai Province.
